The S.H.A. Hockey Club (Scarborough Ice Raiders) is a community-based volunteer operated hockey program operating out of Don Montgomery Community Centre in Scarborough.  Our program is based on a “cost recovery” basis that is self-sustaining in all our divisions.  At no point does one division subsidize another to achieve a financial balance within the other program.  Although all divisions do operate independently from each other; ALL are subsidized by the S.H.A. Hockey Club itself by approximately 20% of the true cost of play.

The 3 divisions within the S.H.A. Hockey Club are: Scarborough Ice Raiders Competitive, Scarborough Ice Raiders Select, and Scarborough Ice Raiders House League programs.  These 3 divisions are amongst the most economical, as well as the one of longest successfully run programs in the City of Toronto.

Little Raiders (pre-hockey) through Under 13.............................Saturdays

Under 14 through Under 20........................................Tuesdays/Wednesdays

Registration Fees

Although costs have increased dramatically over the past few years, the S.H.A. Hockey Club (Scarborough Ice Raiders) have only marginally increased registration rates for the 2023 / 2024 season. This means the program will continue to be subsidized by approximately 20% through the Fund-Raising efforts of the Club Directors and many volunteers.

Registration Fees Include:  Games, Practices (up to Under 16), Skating Skills Program (Under 6 through Under 16), Sweaters & Socks, Team & Individual Pictures, Insurance, Regular Season & Play-off Awards and Free Admission.

Refund policy: Requested prior to the start of the season will incur a $100 cancellation fee.  Up to two weeks after the start of the season, will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Two weeks after the start of the season, all registration fees are non-refundable. If the season is unable to begin and is cancelled by the Scarborough Ice Raiders, a full refund of all fees collected for the S.H.A. will be issued.

League Features:  Select Program for all age groups where available, Tournaments, Equal Ice Time and no Buzzer Under 10 and older.

Little Raiders (Hockey School): All players born in 2020, 2019 will be placed in the Little Raider Program. Players born in 2018, 2017 will not have an option for this program as the H.C.R. (Hockey Canada Registry) doesn’t allow multiply options for the same age group. If you wish to have your child in this program, please register them in the option available in the system then emailsharegistration@rogers.com and our registrar will change your child’s registration to Little Raider in the system.

Goaltender Note: Registration for goalies will be available online however limited to the number of Teams in the Division. Goaltenders from Under 10 through Under 20 will receive a $300.00 refund of registration upon completion of the season with a game play attendance of 80% or greater.

Coaches Note: Hockey Canada Registered Head Coaches will receive a Gift Certificate upon completion of the season, and with an attendance of 80% or greater (which includes practices if applicable).

Online Registration will be available at www.syhl.ca or www.scarboroughhockey.ca as of May 1, 2023. Online payment is by VISA or MASTERCARD only.
